Policy & Compliance Center

Nondiscrimination & Equal Access

Equal access to services, employment, communication, and reasonable accommodations without unlawful discrimination.

All policies

Effective: August 18, 2026

Equal opportunity

First Zion Homes does not unlawfully discriminate in admission, services, employment, volunteering, contracting, or other activities on the basis of race, color, sex, religion or creed, gender identity, gender expression, age, national origin or ancestry, ethnicity, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, or another status protected by applicable law.

Disability access

We work to provide reasonable modifications, accessible communication, and appropriate auxiliary aids or services when needed for equal participation. A request will be considered through an individualized, interactive process.

Communication and language

People may request information in an accessible format or assistance communicating with First Zion. Tell us the format, language, or support that would make communication effective.

Report discrimination

Contact First Zion leadership through the grievance process. A person may also contact the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights when applicable, Equip for Equality, or another appropriate agency. Retaliation for a good-faith complaint is prohibited.

This public summary is for general information. It does not reduce any legal right, replace an individualized notice, or supersede applicable law, regulation, a Personal Plan, or an approved formal policy. Contact First Zion for the current controlled policy when needed.
